Capacitor Paper Laminated With Polyester Film PMP from Hanyao manufacturer is a double or multilayer insulating material formed by tightly bonding cellulose capacitor paper and polyester film together through specific processes (such as hot pressing or bonding).Using capacitor paper or polyester film alone each has its advantages and disadvantages, but combining them achieves "complementary advantages and mutual cancellation of disadvantages".
Capacitor paper has a porous fiber structure, which makes it easy for insulating oil (impregnating agent) to completely penetrate it. However, it still contains impurities and weaknesses, has poor local corona resistance, and is prone to aging.Polyester film has extremely high electrical strength, low dielectric loss, stable chemical properties, and good corona resistance. However, its surface is very dense and smooth, making it difficult for impregnating agents to penetrate. The tiny air gaps inside are prone to partial discharge under high voltage, leading to breakdown.
After lamination, the polyester film acts as the "main insulating agent," while the capacitor paper acts as the "impregnation channel," eliminating weaknesses and improving the overall withstand voltage.
