Temperature is the main factor causing the aging of insulation materials. High temperatures accelerate the oxidation and decomposition of transformer oil, producing acidic substances and reducing insulation performance. Humidity and oxygen intrusion can cause hydrolysis and oxidation of insulation paper, leading to a decrease in mechanical strength. Excessive electric field strength can easily cause partial discharge and damage the insulation layer. In addition, the presence of impurities and moisture can exacerbate insulation degradation and shorten the service life of equipment.
