PTFE Glass Cloth Adhesive Tape is formed by impregnating or coating fiberglass cloth with PTFE.Its most distinctive characteristics are its excellent non-stick properties and ultra-low coefficient of friction. Its smooth surface prevents almost all substances from adhering firmly, making it easy to clean. It also boasts excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, resisting almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and oils. It is extremely chemically inert; Teflon is one of the best known insulating materials, with a low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss. Furthermore, it is non-combustible and meets stringent flame-retardant standards.
The typical long-term temperature range is -60°C to +180°C, and the short-term peak temperature can reach 200°C or higher which is much more superior than that of ordinary electrical tape (PVC-based, approximately 80°C), enabling it to be used in high-temperature environments.Polyester film itself has high dielectric strength, and silicone adhesive is also an excellent insulator. The combination of the two gives the tape excellent electrical insulation properties, which can effectively prevent short circuits and breakdowns.Moreover,Polyester and silicone are both flame-retardant materials, which means that this tape usually meets the flame-retardant rating of UL 94 V-0, effectively preventing the spread of flames.
