GPO-3 sheet from Hanyao factory is made from unsaturated polyester resin, instead of the epoxy resin used in G10/G11, results in lower cost and better electrical and mechanical properties.
Alkali-free glass fiber or glass fiber mat is typically used to provide mechanical strength.GPO-3 was designed as a high-performance, flame-retardant, halogen-free, and self-extinguishing material. It meets multiple international safety standards.Its most prominent advantage is that it usually reaches the UL94 V-0 flame retardant rating and is self-extinguishing, meaning it will extinguish itself after the fire source is removed.
Under the action of an electric arc, its carbonization path forms an arc track instead of continuous conductivity, which improves safety to some extent.Unlike some materials that achieve flame retardancy by adding halogens (such as bromine), GPO-3 achieves flame retardancy through inorganic fillers. This means that it does not release toxic and corrosive hydrogen halide gases during combustion, making it more environmentally friendly and safer.
