Polyester Mica Tape

Hanyao manufactures a variety of adhesive insulation tapes,polyester mica tape is one of the most typical one.It is a type of wrapping insulation material used for the insulation of coils in high-voltage motors and generators. Polyester Mica Tape is a composite industrial tape consisting of three parts.Firstly Polyester film,it is a high-strength, heat-resistant plastic film that serves as the skeleton of the entire mica tape, providing excellent mechanical strength and toughness, making it less prone to tearing during the wrapping process.It served as a reinforcement.Secondly,Mica paper,it is the core of its insulation function. It is made from high-quality mica fragments through high-temperature calcination, chemical treatment, or hydraulic pulping, and then re-papered. This type of paper retains the excellent natural insulating properties of mica.Thirdly,adhesion,during manufacturing only a very small amount of epoxy resin or similar adhesive is coated on one side of the mica paper, just enough to temporarily fix the mica paper to the polyester film. The adhesive is not fully cured (stage B) before final use.Polyester mica tape must be used in conjunction with the vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process. It cannot stand alone as the final insulation, its superior performance can only be fully realized after VPI impregnation, baking and curing, and bonding with the impregnating varnish to form a dense whole.

Product Feature And Application

1.It has excellent electrical insulation properties and superior mechanical strength.
2.It has good heat resistance, and the entire product can achieve Class F (155℃) insulation.
3.Its impregnation performance is excellent. The impregnating varnish can penetrate into every corner of the insulation layer very quickly and thoroughly, forming a gapless, dense, and robust overall insulation structure.
4.It is flexible and easy to wrap around coils with complex shapes, especially straight edges and ends, and has good conformability.
5.It is mainly used in the manufacture and repair of high-voltage motors and generators that require high-reliability insulation, especially in applications where vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) is used.
