Silicone Coated Fiberglass Sleeve offered by Hanyao factory, also known as self-extinguishing tubing, is made by braiding alkali-free fiberglass into a sleeve, treating it at high temperature, coating it with silicone resin, and then drying it.Its base material is fiberglass cloth, which provides the skeleton structure of the hose, giving it excellent mechanical strength, tear resistance, and dimensional stability. It is heat-resistant, but relatively fragile when uncoated.Then a layer of silicone resin is applied.
Silicone resin is a high-performance synthetic material known for its excellent heat resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulation, and chemical inertness. It wraps around the fiberglass cloth, providing protection, sealing, insulation, and flexibility.Simply put, it's like a fabric tube woven from glass fibers, coated inside and out with a layer of high-temperature resistant silicone paint, combining the advantages of both.Its most prominent feature is that it can typically operate in environments ranging from -60°C to +260°C for extended periods, and its short-term temperature resistance can even reach +300°C. It will not melt, and although it will carbonize at extremely high temperatures, it will not burn, exhibiting excellent flame retardancy.
